The Banshee

The Banshee is our everyday-carry fixed blade, and the model we make more of than any other. Seven and a half inches overall, a three-and-a-half inch blade, full tang, and a hand-made Kydex sheath.

We grind it in 80CrV2 carbon steel for toughness and an edge that comes back fast on a stone, and in AEB-L stainless when it is going to live in wet country. Handles are shaped one at a time on the grinder — G10, Micarta, Ultem, wood — which is why no two Banshees leave the shop the same. The steel takes its own finish, the handle takes the contour we give it that day, and the knife that arrives is the exact knife in the photographs.
