Benchmade 2900BK-1 Auto Immunity Folding Knife - CPM-M4 Black Blade, Automatic Opening, Premium EDC Pocket Knife with FDE Aluminum Handle
Experience cutting-edge performance with the Benchmade 2900BK-1 Auto Immunity, a compact automatic folder that delivers instant deployment and unwavering reliability. The straight-edged blade excels in precise slicing and piercing, making it a must-have for professionals and enthusiasts. Its 2.49-inch (6.32 cm) Wharncliffe blade, crafted from premium CPM-M4 super tool steel (62-64 HRC) with a black Cerakote finish, ensures superior edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance—perfect for tactical, utility, and everyday demands.
This blade length is intentionally designed to comply with federal regulations under 18 U.S.C. § 930, which excludes pocket knives with blades under 2.5 inches from being classified as dangerous weapons in federal facilities, allowing legal carry in such environments where longer blades are prohibited. Developed in response to requests from federal employees facing strict restrictions, it offers an optimal balance of compactness for easy carry and sufficient reach for precise tasks, with a cutting edge of approximately 2.28 inches for enhanced usability. Note that while the federal focus is on blade length, automatic knives may face additional state-level restrictions, and users should verify local policies.
Powered by Benchmade's innovative AXIS slide mechanism for swift out-the-side automatic opening, it offers secure locking and ambidextrous operation. The ergonomic Flat Dark Earth (FDE) anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle provides a lightweight, textured grip, measuring 3.46 inches closed and 5.94 inches open, at just 2.29 ounces. A reversible stainless steel pocket clip and lanyard hole enable versatile, discreet carry.
